The GAPTEQ SAMPLE APPS are ready-made sample applications that give a first impression of what business applications created with GAPTEQ can look like.
The GAPTEQ SAMPLE APPS are free sample applications with demo data and a database that can be used with both the free TEST and BUSINESS versions.Five SAMPLE APPS are available. They show different use cases and the interaction of the various GAPTEQ components at different levels of complexity:
- Incoming goods inspection - “Checklist for checking incoming goods” (beginner)
- Real estate agent - “Creating and managing properties + property types” (beginner)
- Forecast - “Entering planning data” (advanced)
- Device management - “Create and manage devices” (advanced)
- Inventory - “Monthly inventory by location/product category” (advanced)
The SAMPLE APPS serve as inspiration for the interaction of components for your own project. Alternatively, they can be used in full or in part as a template to get to the finished solution more quickly.

If you are working with the GAPTEQ TEST version (cloud), you can skip the first two steps - all sample applications are already pre-installed!
All steps are required for the on-premise version.
1. Get GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP Installer
- Login with your personal access data in the GAPTEQ portal. If you do not yet have an account, register here.
- The GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP Installer can be downloaded under the menu item “Downloads” in the left menu bar.
2. Select and install the GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP
- After the GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP Installer opens, the installation of the GAPTEQ SAMPLE APPS can be started.
- A list of all available GAPTEQ SAMPLE APPS appears. Here you can select which sample application you want to install.
The description of the respective GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP contains information on whether it is suitable for beginners or advanced users.
If several GAPTEQ SAMPLE APPS are to be used, the process must be repeated.
3. Open GAPTEQ Designer and start with the desired APP
- Open the GAPTEQ Designer.
- When prompted to open a repository, the previously installed SAMPLE APP(s) can be selected via the drop-down menu.
Attention! "Administrator” must be entered for ‘User’ and ‘Password’!
Alternatively, a SAMPLE APP can also be selected via the main menu of the GAPTEQ Designer via “Open Repository”:
- The repository of the SAMPLE APP opens.
- The start page of the application can now be selected in the “Design Objects” (the start page is marked with a yellow star symbol). The start page of the selected GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP opens.
4. Open the GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP in the web browser
- To open the GAPTEQ SAMPLE APP in the browser, click on the green “Start” button in the main menu.
- To log in via the login screen, enter “Administrator” again for “Login” and “Password”!
Attention! If GAPTEQ is installed on an internal server, the “Set start URL” option must be adjusted via the drop-down menu under the “Start” button in accordance with the server.
The abbreviation /GAPTEQForms must remain unchanged.
