To make working and handling multiple components on individual pages easier and less complicated, xy provides several options - including “Show grid” or “Show design Padding”.
1. Show grid - Show auxiliary/grid lines
When editing individual pages in GAPTEQ, dashed help/grid lines can be displayed in the background, which are used when placing components or for general orientation on pages. These can be shown or hidden as required using the “Show grid” option.
This is how it works:
- The “Show grid” option can be activated or deactivated in the menu via the “View” tab. This shows or hides the thin auxiliary/grid lines.
2. show design padding - show spacers
If, for example, you are working with nested panels in GAPTEQ, which headers / footers are hidden, difficulties may arise when selecting or placing the components, as too little space is displayed between the components. The “Show design padding” option provides a remedy here.
- The “Show design padding” option can be activated or deactivated in the menu via the “View” tab.
- This makes gaps between the panels visible, which significantly simplifies the selection, marking and placement of combined components.
