The GAPTEQ Repository Export / Import functionality offers you the following:
- Export and import by click.
- Create a copy by changing the name during import.
- Automatic creation of a backup copy as a grf file.
- Optional addition of users and user groups during export.
1. Export Repository
So that you can start the export:
- First open the repository to be exported in the GAPTEQ Designer.
- Start the export dialog in the GAPTEQ menu and click "Export Repository".
The following checkboxes have the following meaning:
Include all referenced users and groups (optional)
All users and user groups of the repository stored in the access rights are added to the export.
Include members of each group (optional)
All users of a user group stored in the access rights are added to the export.
Additional users / groups (optional)
In the “Additional users” and “Additional groups” tab, individual users or user groups can be added to the export.
Output file
Specify the file name for the export file and select the folder for the storage location.
- Click on “OK” to perform the export with the selected settings and generate a file with the file extension .grf.
2. Import Repository
- To gain access to the GAPTEQ menu and the repository import, log in to a repository in the GAPTEQ Designer.
- Now start the import via GAPTEQ Menu and click on "Import Repository".
- Select the backup file to be imported and click on “Open”.
Attention! You must not be logged into the repository into which you wish to import.
You can enter a name for the new repository or select an existing one from the list.
Attention! If you select an existing repository from the list, it will be overwritten.
The already activated checkbox “Clear repository before import” is only relevant for importing into an existing repository. If the checkbox is not selected, existing files are overwritten but no files are deleted.
The import log is displayed after the import. In addition to general information, warnings and errors that occurred during the import are displayed.
- Finally, you will be asked whether you want to open the repository to be imported now.
