Administration tasks at server level and for users/groups can be carried out online - i.e. without the GAPTEQ-Designer - using the online System Administrator environment.

In the “Users / Groups” area, you can
- edit, add or remove users and
- make security-relevant role assignments (see example below).
- Define password policies for users,
- configure repository properties (e.g. backup intervals),
- create new database connections centrally (well known databases),
- define provisions for new users when importing from the directory and
- view the settings for external authentication.

2. Call up the system administrator environment & make configurations
- As soon as you are logged in as a system administrator, the “SysAdmin” tab appears under your user in the menu. Use this to call up the system administrator environment. You can see the following start page in the screenshot below.
Note! The language of the System Administrator environment is based on the language settings of your browser and can be set to either German or English.
- Just as in the server configurations of the GAPTEQ Designer, you can assign various roles and associated authorizations to users in the System Administrator environment (e.g. repository, account, backup, license manager, designer, ...).
Configuration example 2: Adjusting the backup intervals of the repositories
- To adjust the backup intervals of your repositories on the server, go to the “Backup” tab in the Server Administration area (here EN: Server Settings)
- Under “Edit” you can enter the corresponding weekday and time.
