      Creation & administration of user accounts

      Regardless of the licensing form, the number of users can be adjusted to your needs with just a few clicks, both in the cloud and in the on-premise solution.

      1. Creation & administration of user accounts (cloud)

      For annual licensing, proceed as follows:

      Note! As part of annual licensing (prepaid mode), you can create and manage (increase) user accounts directly via the GAPTEQ portal!

      • You specify the initial number of user accounts during the ordering process.

      • To adjust the number of users, go directly to the corresponding subscription in the GAPTEQ-Portal and follow the licensing wizard under “Adjust number of users”.

      Attention! Only an increase in the number of users is possible within the scope of annual licensing - no downsizing!

      For monthly licensing, proceed as follows:

      Note! In the case of monthly licensing (pay-per-use), both the creation and management of user numbers is carried out directly in the GAPTEQ-Designer via the user administration (Users and groups).

      • In the GAPTEQ main menu, you will find the user administration under “Users and groups”.
      • New users can be created and assigned certain roles or groups via “Add”.

      Attention! Newly created or not deactivated users will be included in the next invoice.

      Tip! Users can be deactivated via “Disable” or “Enable” if they are not required for a certain period of time. Deactivated users are not billed.

      2. Administration of the user accounts (onPremise)

      For annual licensing, proceed as follows:

      Note! For annual licensing (prepaid), you can adjust the number of users directly in the GAPTEQ-Designer using a licensing wizard. 

      • Go to the “Licensing” menu item in the GAPTEQ Designer and select “Increase number of users” under the licensing options.
      • In the following Licensing wizard, first authenticate yourself with your access data for your account on the GAPTEQ portal.
      • Once you have selected the desired number of users, confirm the details of the new number of users for your GAPTEQ server. 

      Attention! After increasing the number of users with annual payment, the term changes again to 12 months. It is not possible to reduce the number of users during the term.

      For monthly licensing (pay-per-use), the procedure is identical to point 1: Creation & administration of user accounts (cloud).
